October 22nd, 2011Why Do Manufacturers Make Black Skin Care Products?
Is there really a difference in black skin care products or white skin care products?
This is a question that has been on the mind of manufacturers for a long time and because they have played on the naivety of many people believing that there is a difference between skin colours and skin types, they have been able to make millions of dollars from the pockets of the ordinary working man or woman.
If we delve into the build up of the structure of ‘skin’ in general we will find that it is made up of exactly the same components whether it is black or white – why then are we practically forced into buying products labelled black skin, products labelled for white skin, products labelled for dry skin or oily skin – I could go on and on, the list is literally endless.
The question is then ‘If all skin’s molecular structure is the same then why do we need such a myriad of different products? Wouldn’t one type of product work instead?
The answer to that which is confirmed by a number of different studies in the scientific industry is that yes, we really don’t need a different product for combination skin, oily skin or dry skin.
The next question then beckons why do manufacturers lure us into believing that we do?
There is only one reason why such a plethora of skin care products exist today – because these large companies are greedy most of the time and play off the simple innocence of their customers.
- Do you think they really care about the fact that they know that one moisturizer would work for all skin colours and types?
- Do you think they would try to save you money by telling you that you don’t need to buy 3 or 4 different products when 1 would do?
- Do you think they put the needs and concerns of their customers first?
Well I am sorry if you did because quite frankly they don’t care as long as they sell their products.
Now I do have to admit that not all companies act in such an unscrupulous way; but it is very hard to find a company that doesn’t. The internet is full of store fronts advertising their wares – how in such a conglomeration are we supposed to decipher who is genuine and who is just out for our money.
My own search for skin care products took me on a journey that I thought would never end.
Everyone’s skin, whether black or white has the same number of layers and in each layer are the same cell structures. The difference between coloured skin is the strength of activity of the melanin.
